• (It) Looks like you could use a little help. 도움이 좀 필요한 거 같군.

     >(It) looks like ~ : 보아하니
     ex) It looks like it’s going to rain. 보아하니 비가 올 것 같네요.
           Looks like it’s going to rain. 보아하니 비가 올 것 같네요.
           Looks like we’re going to have to work overtime. 보아하니 우리가 야근해야 할 것 같네요.

• I can see for miles. 난 저 멀리까지도 볼 수 있단다.

     >miles : 먼 거리
     ex) I could walk for miles in this weather.
           This movie is miles better than that one. 이 영화는 저것보다 훨씬 좋아. -> 비교급 강조할 때에도 쓸 수 있음

• Yeah, that’s it. 그래, 옳지.

     >That’s it : 바로 그거야
     ex) Yeah, that’s it. Keep going! 그래, 바로 그거야. 계속 노력해봐!
           Yeah, That’s it! 좋아! 바로 그거야!
           That’s it! (억양에 따라 부정적으로) 그만해!

• Just step over the pile of bones. 그 뼈다귀 더미를 밟고 들어오면 돼.

     >step over : 넘어서다, 넘어가다
     ex) Step over the poop. 똥을 넘어서 가세요.
           Hey, step over here. 저기, 이쪽으로 넘어와보세요.
           Step over. Let me cook. 옆으로 비켜봐. 내가 요리할게.

• In this dark and foreboding shed. 어둡고 불길한 이 헛간 속.

     >forebode : 불길한, 예감이 좋지 않은
     ex) The cloudy sky forebodes rain. 흐린 하늘은 비가 올 전조예요.
            He felt a foreboding that she won’t come. 그는 그녀가 오지 않을 것이라는 불길함을 느꼈어요.

• There’s also way a salty, gamey thing going on. 또 뭔가 짭조름한 고기 비린내도 나는군.

     >gamey : 사냥감 냄새가 나는, 비린내
     ex) The gamey smell filled the room. 방 전체에 고기 비린내가 났어요.
            I hate the gamey flavor of the meat. 저는 고기의 비린내 나는 맛을 싫어해요.

• Come one, let’s get you out of that shed. 자,여기서 내보내줄게.

     >shed : 오두막, 헛간, 창고
     ex) He hid in the shed. 그는 헛간에 숨었어요.

• I said- I meant food- friend- friend. 내 말은- 먹이 -아니, 친구라고.

     >I mean : 그러니까, 내 말은 / I mean it : 진심이에요, 정말이에요
     ex) I mean, I really can’t go. 그러니까 제 말은, 저는 정말 갈 수 없어요.
           I really mean it. 정말 진심이에요.
